Great Pornhub Purge

The Great Pornhub Purge is a significant event in Porn Music Video history. On December 14, 2020, Pornhub announced a change in their Terms of Service banning unverified accounts from uploading videos.^[1]

Last week, we enacted the most comprehensive safeguards in user-generated platform history. We banned unverified uploaders from posting new content, eliminated downloads, and partnered with dozens of non-profit organizations, among other major policy changes [..]. ^[2]

PMVs and Cock Hero videos were removed from the site as a result of this change. The event was intensely discussed in the /r/PornMusicVids subreddit and on Milovana. ^[3] ^[4]

Response

In response to the massive loss of PMVs due to the purge, the /r/PornMusicVids and the associated PornEdits Discord community started a recovery effort using mega.nz for storage. This archive was later taken down by mega.
